Faith in God for Girls: Learning and Living the Gospel
Read a recent conference address given by the prophet. Decide what you can do to follow the prophet, and do it.

At Our Activity: Girls took turns reading quotes from General Conference talks.  All of the girls sat in a circle together and each had a piece of paper and a pencil.  After listening to the quote each girls wrote down some way she could follow the words of the church leaders.  After writing, each girls crumpled her piece of paper in a ball, then when everyone had written something a few ideas were shared with the group, then each girl randomly chose a paper from the middle.  At the end of the activity each girl had a piece of paper with ideas and suggestions from a number of different girls.

At Home: The same activity could be used at home for a Family Home Evening or General Conference activity.

For the last few minutes we enjoyed playing some "4 Corners"

Mother / Daughter Activity

Faith in God for Girls: Serving Others
Plan and hold a parent-child activity, such as a dinner, picnic, hike, day trip, or service project.
At Our Activity:
Each family of girls invited a mother or other older friend or family member to join them at a holiday activity.  We decorated gingerbread houses and shared favorite holiday traditions.

At Home:
Discuss the holiday traditions your family enjoys, or discuss new traditions you may want to start.  Record the traditions in a journal so you can use them with your own family someday.
Start a new tradition this year.  A service project, special family activity, or outing on a special day might be a great new way to celebrate what is important to you.
